Harry Reems was born Herbert Streicher to a German-American Jewish family in Bronx, New York. He briefly served in the U.S. Marine Corps before pursuing an acting career. Looking for ways to support himself, Harry did a dozen short, adult stag films in the early 1970s. He was paid only $250 to appear in Deep Throat. Harry went on to perform in 130 porn films between 1971 and 1989, with Deep Throat (1972), The Devil in Miss Jones (1973) and Sex Wish (1976) the most popular.
